Editors in Review

This is Mercury continuing to speak. I've tried/used several different editors too... and here are my opinions about the editors (They can be found at Tucows) - All of my opinions here are written in blue... Mine (MARS) are in RED!
  • Corel Photopaint 5 - Pretty awful. I haven't tried any new versions, but the version I have isn't that great. It's hard to use... but it does have great image effects ^_~
  • Reptile - Um... kinda weird... very different... but very cool! Great for making creative and original background textures of your own...
  • Paint Shop Pro 5 - Everyone uses this! Well, I've tried the shareware version... and find it kinda hard to use... but hey, Michiru designed the rest of the site using PSP, and it looks beautiful! (I just don't know how to use it correctly ^_^;)
    - I got to use this a FEW times at my friend's house and it was GREAT! If you like PSP3 then this is a DREAM! The tool sizes are MUCH more flexible than PSP3 and there are MORE filters and effects to play with. AND this supports Eye Candy filters if THAT isn't enough for you!
  • MS Paint - Ew... well... it's easy to use, nice for simple graphics... lacks fanciness and special image effects... (oh yeah... all the text is aliased - not anti-aliased... so it looks all jagged and weird)
    - I agree with Merc-chan! It is NOT very good to use for anything TOO complicated and the effects are NOT very many. But yes, VERY easy to learn!
  • LViewPro - Um... not bad, but I can't figure out how to move text to different places! Ok... so I'm not good at figuring out how to use image editor programs! I'll stick to Picture Publisher!
    - This one is OK but like Merc said the text is HARD to place! I found out that you could GUIDE where the text was printed by putting a SELECTION box in the area you wanted it. It is HARD to get it exactly where you want it this way!
